What we liked
Mode switching is straightforward. Adjusting between cut and loop pile takes under two minutes once you learn the scissor mechanism. No second gun to store or maintain.
Consistent pile on medium-weight acrylic. Across a 14×14 in test swatch, pile height varied less than 1 mm — acceptable for hobby and light commercial work.
Motor stays cool. After 35 minutes of continuous tufting, the housing was warm but not hot. Cheaper guns in the same price band ran noticeably warmer in our comparison.
